We Ship Express is a nationwide warehousing, fulfillment, and logistics company supporting customers who sell wine, beer, and spirits. As our company continues to grow and expand operations across multiple locations, we are seeking an experienced Inventory Operations Supervisor to help strengthen inventory accuracy, standardize processes, and support warehouse operations across our company.

This position will be based at our St. Charles, Missouri warehouse and will serve as a key resource for inventory control processes across our St. Charles (MO), New Rochelle (NY), and Napa (CA) facilities.

This role serves as a key resource for inventory control strategy, systems, and process consistency across multiple warehouse locations.

About the Role

The Inventory Operations Supervisor is responsible for coordinating inventory control processes, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and helping standardize inventory procedures across multiple warehouse locations.

This position combines inventory oversight, process improvement, and hands-on operational support. The role will also support warehouse leadership by serving as a backup supervisor when operational needs require.

This role may require up to 20% travel to company warehouse locations in New Rochelle, NY and Napa, CA, with all travel expenses paid by the company.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinate and maintain accurate inventory levels within the warehouse and across company locations
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
• Monitor inventory accuracy and oversee inventory counting processes
• Serve as a primary resource for inventory-related questions and procedures across multiple warehouse locations
• Assist with developing and maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to inventory control
• Work with warehouse leadership to improve inventory systems, workflows, and reporting
• Communicate with internal teams regarding inventory discrepancies and resolutions
• Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment between system data and physical stock
• Support and coordinate cycle counts and physical inventory processes
• Rotate stock and ensure storage areas remain organized and compliant with safety requirements
• Assist with warehouse operations including shipping, receiving, and staging when needed
• Serve as a backup supervisor to support warehouse operations when management is unavailable
• Ensure proper housekeeping (i.e., free of trash, product in correct location, etc.)
• Participate in quality improvement processes
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Familiarity with shipping practices and material handling methods required
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze inventory discrepancies
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and manage multiple priorities
• Commitment to excellence and high operational standards
• Ability to communicate effectively with warehouse teams across multiple locations
• Demonstrated reliability and consistent attendance required
• Three or more years of related warehouse or inventory experience required
• Prior experience in lead or supervisory warehouse role preferred
• Forklift certification required
