What You'll Do
As the Fulfillment Supervisor, you will oversee daily warehouse activities, ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. You will supervise warehouse employees, coordinate daily workflow, maintain inventory accuracy, and serve as a key point of contact for customer fulfillment needs.
This is a hands-on supervisory position requiring an active presence on the warehouse floor, strong organizational skills, and the ability to balance operational priorities with customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily warehouse fulfillment operations, including order picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and related activities.
- Assign and prioritize daily work to maximize productivity, efficiency, and accuracy while meeting customer deadlines.
- Maintain a highly visible, hands-on presence on the warehouse floor, providing direction, coaching, and support to employees.
- Ensure all customer orders are fulfilled accurately, on time, and in full while maintaining established quality and packaging standards.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries related to fulfillment operations, providing timely updates and resolving concerns.
- Prepare and communicate daily customer account status reports to customers and internal Customer Success Partners.
- Coordinate with operations, sales, and customer service teams to address fulfillment challenges and meet customer expectations.
- Oversee inventory control processes, including receiving and inventory transactions, cycle counts, reconciliations, and discrepancy resolution.
- Ensure products are properly stored, organized, and maintained to support inventory accuracy and efficient fulfillment.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.
- Assist facility management with employee scheduling, timecard approvals, overtime management, hiring, training, and performance management.
- Train and develop warehouse employees on operating procedures, warehouse management systems, and safety requirements.
- Monitor employee performance, provide coaching, and address performance or attendance concerns in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure warehouse equipment is operated safely and the facility remains clean, organized, and compliant with company safety standards.
- Maintain knowledge of warehouse management systems and cross-train employees to support operational flexibility.
- Prepare operational reports, maintain accurate warehouse documentation, and communicate performance updates to management.
- Work alongside warehouse employees and assist with fulfillment activities as needed to meet operational demands.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support customer needs and overall facility operations.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Two to four years of related warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, or supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated ability to supervise, motivate, coach, and develop warehouse employees.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, order fulfillment, inventory control, and warehouse best practices.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and internal teams.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage workflow in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory management software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to maintain inventory accuracy and resolve operational discrepancies.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety practices and the ability to enforce company policies and procedures.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment and maintain required equipment certifications.
- Willingness and ability to perform hands-on warehouse duties as operational needs require.
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and adapt to changing priorities.
Preferred Experience
- Experience supervising fulfillment operations in a warehouse or distribution center.
- Experience in the wine, beer, spirits, or third-party logistics (3PL) industry.
- Familiarity with WMS platforms such as MAPPS or similar warehouse software.
- Experience managing inventory cycle counts, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy.
- Experience implementing process improvements and monitoring warehouse productivity and quality standards.
- Experience managing customer accounts or communicating directly with customers regarding fulfillment operations.
- Bilingual communication skills.
Education
High School Diploma or GED required.
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field strongly preferred.
Salary
$67,000 - $75,000/year
